Agel is a picturesque, typically French village that dates back to Roman times. Set on the River Cesse, it is a short drive from the Canal du Midi (at Argeliers) and the Lac de Jouarres.
AIGNE
A circulade village near Minerve. The old centre of the village, is called l'Escargot, because the narrow road runs in a spiral from the larger square, alongside the departmental road, to a smaller square at its heart where you will find the church.

Commune of 481 people some 14km from Carcassonne. The first written evidence of the existence of Aigues-Vives, then it was written as: "Aquaviva" was in the year 994.

A pretty Minervois village, on the Canal du Midi, the village has a restaurant, two bakers, two butchers and mini supermarket along with other small shops.
